This wagyu beef (commonly known as "Kobe beef", aka Kobe-style beef or Australian Kobe beef) is from Waygu cattle that are descendants from Japanese herds and raised in Australia. Their intricately marbled beef is legendary and the result of careful breeding and a highly regimented diet. That marbling creates beef that is the most tender, juicy, and flavorful available. The Strip Loin can be prepared as a roast but is typically cut into the popular Strip Steak or also known as an NY Strip Steak.
Our Wagyu herd was started in 1999 when we purchased embryos from Takada Farms in the USA. These genetics were originally imported from Japan. We had to complete a biological impact study before the progeny could be registered with the South African Studbook Association.
